Wiki expedition - writing memoirs of Galina Ryabova, the daughter of Erzya professtional translator, the founder of Erzya literary language

On the 11th of August, 2019 our small UG EZY has visited Mrs Galina Popova-Ryabova the only daughter of Vladimir Ryabov – a professional translator into Erzya language of well-known Russian poems. He was prosecuted up to execution in 1937 during Stalin’s period. V.Ryabov has translated Pushkin,Nekrasov and Finnish «Kalevala».
We have had a very interesting talk, made an 1-hour video, copies of photographies, letters, official papers, newspaper articles. Mrs Ryabova told us about his father and mother. She was only 1-year old when her mother was prosecuted too. She was living with her grandmother and aunt, whose portrait was painted by Sychkov – a famous Russian artist. Mrs Ryabova was very exited to see her father’s translations digitized in internet.
