BRIDGING THE GAP: USING HAUSA WIKIPEDIA TO FIGHT CLIMATE-DENIALISM

This project addresses the critical issue of climate denialism in the Hausa-speaking communities'. Climate change is a pressing global concern that requires collective action, and misinformation remains a significant obstacle in tackling this challenge effectively. This project aims to utilize the power of knowledge dissemination through the Hausa Wikipedia platform to combat climate denialism and promote accurate scientific information among the Hausa-speaking population.

Event details

The program have two sections, Online and Physical Trainings and Contest

Trainings

One day online training as well as one day physical training in which editors were trained on how to create climate related articles and how to improve the existing ones.

Contest

Editors participated in a one month contest of creating climate related articles and how to improve the existing ones.
