12 May 2025, Wiki Gender Gap
Due to the majority of participants at the AÖA Wiki Club being women, we aim to reduce the gender gap among volunteers contributing to Turkish content. Additionally, we seek to raise awareness about the underrepresentation of female contributors on Wikipedia. User:AProdromou will visit AÖA to give a presentation on the gender gap in Wikipedia.
16 May 2025, Archive Visit Students of AÖA Wiki Club and Admin of Turkish WikiSource User:SatirdanKahraman will visit state archive of Northern Cyprus to contribute to Wikisoruce. Content about Northern Cyprus is insufficient we aim to raise awareness about free sourced content on Wikisourse with this event.
25 May 2025, Photowalk to Kyrenia With photography student clubs of 4 different universities in Northern Cyprus, İncluding Atatürk Teacher Training Academy, Middle Eastern Technical University, Near East University and Eastern Mediterranean University photography clubs. AÖA Wiki Club, METU NCC Student Club and one guest from Wikimedia Turkey will visit Kyrenia to contribute to Wikimedia Commons. Our goal is to take photographs of locations that are not yet on Wikimedia Commons. In addition we aim to encourage photography student clubs among the country to contribute to Wikimedia Commons.
5-7 July 2025 Wikicamp Karpaz In total of 15 people; 9 students from AÖA Wiki Club, 4 students from METU NCC Wİkipedia Society, 2 students from Wiki Student Clubs in Türkiye. Will stay at Karpaz to share experiences, learn more about contributing to wikimedia projects, collaborating and networking with community from Türkiye and METU NCC Wikipedia Society. Seminars, edithatons and wikimarathons during the wikicamp.
