AfroCuration Ghana 2023

Background

The Wikimedians of the Twi Language in collaboration with the Moleskine Foundation aims to bring Wikimedians in Ghana from different tribes together to learn, edit and share their experiences by contributing to Wikipedia in their local dialects. We aim to help them learn how to direct the flow of information across languages to eradicate/reduce language barriers and create visibility for local knowledge online.

This AfroCuration event will be a workshop that brings wikimedians together to contribute to Wikipedia content related to authors and musicians from English to the following local languages; Twi, Dagbani, Gurene, Moore and Ewe.
