Our goal is to shine a spotlight on the remarkable work of women across the continent, ensuring their efforts and achievements are recognized and valued. Recognition[edit]Identify and honor African women who have made significant contributions to Wikimedia projects, including content creation, leadership, and advocacy. Amplification[edit]Promote the stories and work of African women in Wikimedia through various platforms, ensuring their voices and contributions are heard and seen across the community. Inspiration[edit]![]() Inspire the next generation of African women to participate in Wikimedia projects by showcasing role models and celebrating success stories.

Nomination Form[edit]Nominations are opened all year round Nominate a candidate using this form Meet our Nominees[edit]November 2024 Nominee[edit]![]() With the launch of the Nominate Her campaign, Tochi Precious has been the first nominee to be celebrated. She is a Nigerian Wikipedian, the Co-founder of the Wikimedia User Group, and a language advocate.
December 2024 Nominee[edit]![]() In the last month of 2024, the Africa Wiki Women celebrated Rebecca Jeannette as a nominee of the campaign. She is Rwandan, the Co-founder of the Wikimedia Community User Group Rwanda, the founder of OpenStreetMap Rwanda, and an advocate for open knowledge. January 2025 Nominee[edit]
