Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Renewal PhilWiki Community 2016
- Whereas:
- Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
- On October 17, 2015, Philippine Wikimedia Community User Group (or PhilWiki Community) was recognized as Wikimedia User Group by the Affiliations Committee for a provisional 3-month period that finished on January 17, 2016;
- The affiliation requirements for Wikimedia User Groups include annual renewal based on the annual activities report submitted by the group.
- The group's first annual report demonstrates regular activity by the group in organizing activities and edit-a-thons in their initial period of recognition including outreach events in November and a couple Waray edit-a-thons held at Tacloban City and Palo, Leyte and launched a Wiki Takes photography event m:Grants:PEG/Irvin_Stotomas/Wikipedia_Takes_Rinconada/Report Wikipedia Takes Rinconada (funded by a WMF PEG grant) in December.
- The current status and work performed by PhilWiki Community have been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;
- They have fulfilled the minimum requirements to retain their status as a Wikimedia User Group;
- The Affiliations Committee has determined that the Wikimedia User Group satisfies the requirements for renewal of its status as an affiliate.
- Therefore be it resolved that the Wikimedia User Group status of PhilWiki Community is hereby renewed for a one-year term through January 17, 2017.
