First of all  I would like to share my  professional and academic profile which will be helpful to get more information about myself. By profession I am a Researcher and Trainer.Indian Culture, Philosophy, Folk Traditions are my core subjects of Research. I completed my Ph.D in 2014 and in March 2023,Completed my post doctoral research. In professional life I am a trainer also and worked as a trainer for Wiki Platforms as well. I have a different kind of perspective which I developed through my work with rural children in Maharashtra.I am conducting various activities at my native village where I always try to get connected with school children from rural areas. At the same time I am working with urban schools as well. As a Researcher, I always meet senior scholars from various fields of studies like History, Anthropology, Ecology etc. All these experiences enriched me a lot and I am a person who has the strength of good communication with the people from various social communities. On the other hand, I worked as  a committee member for the International Centre for Cultural Studies where I had been able to deal with different kinds of tribal communities around the globe.I studied their Culture and tried to understand their values and morals. My strengths and experiences, will help me to work for various  wiki communities around the globe.
  • Is there any other pertinent information that you would like us to take into account when reviewing your application?
1.As a member of Marathi Wiki Community I participated and conducted Edit-e-thons.I trained especially women residing in my city. 2. I worked as a jury for the Project Tiger. 3.I worked for a GLAM activity with an Internationally known museum situated in my town. 4.In July 2016, I delivered a lecture on TEDEX  platform as a thought leader where I shared  my thoughts about - 'an importance of work with Wikipedia.'
  • Which sub-committee are you interested in working with (Conflict Intervention, Recognitions)?:
    Recognitions sub-committee
  • What do you think are the benefits and responsibilities of functioning as formal affiliates, and when is a group of Wikimedians ready to form an affiliate?
As per my opinion, there should not be any compartments like committee members and community members. We are working together for open knowledge creation movement but still we need to collaborate with each other for sharing our own expertise and skills. These arrangements are only for putting movement farward more efficiently and smoothly. I always think that exchange of Knowledge and connections of various communities will always help all wiki projects to enrich their platforms.
  • Please describe your experience working with conflict resolution, and how you have helped build consensus and support diversity.
As  a member of the SA regional grants committee, I always tried to get connected with the applicants.I had a discussion with Kashmiri Wikipedians and with Tulu Community members also. Not only this, but I participated in one project run by Tulu Community.Till today I am closely connected with this team and we are proposing new projects. I faced a challenge when we rejected one application.Applicants placed their complaint and we need to solve the scene. I requested our co-ordinator to arrange one meeting with the applicants.I am fortunate enough to get good wikipedians as committee members and I am able to discuss a few things regarding the rejection with the applicants. Their project was based on languages and as being a researcher from Sanskrit Language I have an expertise with linguistics also. With my own experiences, I tried to explain to them the reasons behind the rejections and it was I think a good job I was able to do with the support of all SA regional grants committee members.

Endorsements (आर्या जोशी)

[edit]
  1. Oppose Oppose For now sorry, but I am not going to endorse anyone who applies for any role in WMF until they explicitly declare their commitment to the Wikimedia Foundation Guiding Principles (even if implicit commitment may be clear) or present a clear critique of them based on reasonable arguments and at least a basic proposal to improve the situation about the principles. If you answer my questions, I may change my endorsement. Thanks for understanding ;-) --KuboF Hromoslav (talk) 22:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
