Henrietta Swan Leavitt
[edit]Henrietta Swan Leavitt was one of the most amazing people to have ever lived. This astronomer can also be found on Wikipedia. She is always being left out, forgotten by younger generations. Please keep her in our collective memory. P.I. Ellsworth - ed. put'er there 16:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

Ideas please! WLW #SheSaid branded gear
[edit]Hello!! As SheSaid2024 launches, the Wiki Loves Women team wants to create some designs on various objects so that you and your teams can print them out if you want - we were particularly jealous of Camelia's spectacular t-shirt!!
Previously, we have had powerbanks/battery packs, Waterproof cellphone holders, Castro Caps, T-shirts, limited edition Fleece Jackets, stickers ...
What would you like designs for?
- t-shirts (easy)
- stickers
- Mask / bandana sleeves
- Socks
- Caps
- Mugs
What else?? Please share your ideas below! Islahaddow (talk) 15:13, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

- Framed posters, umbrellas, mousepads, doormats, towels, bathrobe, 3d models? Wiccio (talk) 07:39, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
Grants link
[edit]Is there a link to the grants that were made? Perhaps on the Foundation wiki? --Pmsyyz (talk) 16:18, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Pmsyyz,
- All WMF grant requests (open, funded, not funded, etc) can be found under the Grants space here on Meta. I personally always find it a bit difficult to trace how many local grants were awarded to support a specific theme or activity, since the grants are mainly awarded per region. The international coordination for the SheSaid drive, and the more broader Wiki Loves Women initiative are both organized through the general support grant for Wiki in Africa. Ciell (talk) 12:16, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
Does Wiki love men?
[edit]this seems kinda sexist, does wiki not love men? Panthers22 (talk) 17:07, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- I am quite sure the 80% men in our movement are kinda okay with it as is: it's the lower percentage of women portrayed and participating that need our explicit attention. Ciell (talk) 12:06, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- We'll I'm a man and I feel loved by Wiki. Pitstop Pop (talk) 18:01, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think Wikipedia has done anything to suggest that. (Organising a event for visibility of women don't count) Caesarian Cobol (talk) 05:28, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
Other genders
[edit]can other genders eg.men can contribute to SheSaid Vjsuseela (talk) 14:55, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- All genders are very welcome. Anthere (talk) 11:00, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Styling of punctuation in the page title
[edit]The title of the page is "Wiki Loves Womenː SheSaid". The use of a triangular pair of dots, one above the other, in this title, is non-standard punctuation – the norm is a colon ":". Is this a deliberate style to make the title look different from the norm? If not, and it's a mistake, can someone correct it? Spel-Punc-Gram (talk) 20:31, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
I was managing the Italian translation of previous editions and I noticed that some of the links to campaigns in other languages do not work correctly. In addition, some of the reported numbers relating to created/expanded articles do not match. Would anyone have the patience to fix this page? Wiccio (talk) 08:40, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
- Even the table in the Who can join? section I notice is not populated with any data. Wiccio (talk) 08:49, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

- If you have lists of articles you’ve created or improved, please share them with me so we can accurately track and document our collective impact.
Thank you once again for your incredible efforts!
Cheers,
