A better example than the info thread would be great. Cheers, ----Anonymous DissidentTalk 08:35, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can it be done?

[edit]

I have a question on transclusion. I asked where I hope was the right spot, on the forum page, but thought here would be a good place as well, since it is about transclusion.

I am trying to find out a couple of things. One, is it possible to select just a portion (say by section tag) of one page, without editing the source page, to be included on another page in the same way you can reference the entire page, and have it show up. I am asking because there are certain sections of one page that I think would be helpful being used on another. Also, is it possible to transclude pages (or parts of pages) from one wiki to another? I do not have a user account on here, but I can be reached at 13eowulf user talk page. 69.182.174.55 23:29, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

See more in mw:Transclusion#Partial transclusion. Cross-wiki transclusion is impossible. --Kaganer (talk) 10:32, 31 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
