Since an account merge is no longer possible, perhaps the possibility could then be created to update the edit counter so that i can enter two usernames? Charly Whisky (talk) 08:46, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Redlinked category problem

[edit]

There's a problem at en:Wikipedia:Database reports/PRODed articles with deletion logs that I need somebody associated with this project to look at because the page is maintained by your bot. The issue is that the deletion comment associated with the Caroline Johansson entry was coded in such a way that it's causing the page to become filed in redlinked (i.e. non-existent) categories instead of just linking to redlinked categories -- but since pages aren't allowed to sit in redlinked categories, I have to get the page out of the categories, but the bot keeps undoing anything I do to accomplish that: if I remove the categories then the bot just readds them the next time it updates the page, if I disable the categories then the bot just undisables them the next time it updates the page, and on and so forth, with the result that the redlinked categories have recurred at the redlinked category report three times in the past two days.

The page has to be kept out of redlinked categories, however, so could somebody take steps to ensure that the bot doesn't keep putting the page back into redlinked categories? Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 07:00, 9 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
