The Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region of the Philippines.

The community was founded by Filipino Wikimedians advocating equity, cultural heritage, history, language & ethnicity, art, freedom of panorama, and Wikimedia's Movement Strategy, contributing to expand the global availability of free knowledge.

GLAM initiatives have become important in facilitating verifiable data and information for the more accessible Wikipedia and its sister projects.

The Pilipinas Panorama Community cultural calendar is a continual initiative alongside libraries, museums and cultural institutions primarily located in the Philippine capital of Metro Manila.


Philippine National Commission for Culture and the Arts

Members of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) conducted a library visit at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in Intramuros, Manila City. Formed in 1987, NCCA is the official government agency for culture in the Philippines.

PPC Members which includes Johnny Alegre, Ralff Nestor Nacor, and Charrie Anne Nacor met and shared stories with Ms. Jelomy Domingo (NCCA Librarian) and Ms. Delia Peregrina (NCCA Planning Officer II). One of the objectives of the library visit is the consultation of Philippine Panorama Project to cultural heritage references like the Philippine Church Facades and the Philippine Heritage Architecture for its intentional visit and data gathering objectives. The participants also visited the Luwas Exhibit (running from August 05 to 31, 2024) and the Museong Gumugulong inside the NCCA. The event is a part of the Manila 26: The 26th Manila Meet-up.

Museo Iloilo

The Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) commenced its GLAM-On-Tour 2024 Campaign in the Western Visayas Region through a museum visit at Museo Iloilo. Located within the premises of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, the museum houses the collection of Iloilo's cultural heritage.

PPC President & Co-founder Ralff Nestor Nacor was accompanied by Jose Ryan Continente, a Registered Chemist (RCh) and M.S. Chemistry graduate student of the University of the Philippines Visayas (Miagao, Iloilo), and Bon Lester Lamparero, a Registered Chemical Engineer (RChE) and Supply Chain Professional based in Iloilo. Short museum visits were also conducted at the Museum of Philippine Maritime History and Museum of Philippine Economic History due to time constraints. Photowalks were also conducted in the districts of Mandurriao, Molo, and the City Proper Area on the given day. The event is a part of the Iloilo 1: The 1st Iloilo Meet-up.

Philippine National Museum of Anthropology

Members of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) conducted a photowalk at the Philippine National Museum of Anthropology in Ermita, Manila. The anthropology museum is home to a number of ethnological and archaeological exhibitions under the auspices of the National Museum of the Philippines.

The participants of the GLAM photowalk were Johnny Alegre, Jocelyn Alegre, Ralff Nestor Nacor, and Charrie Anne Nacor. The attendees visited the galleries which includes the Baybayin Gallery: Ancient & Traditional Scripts of the Philippines, Bangsamoro Art from the National Ethnographic Collection, and National Living Treasures Gallery. The event is a part of the Manila 25: The 25th Manila Meet-up.

Philippine National Museum of Fine Arts

Members of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) conducted a photowalk at the Philippine National Museum of Fine Arts in Ermita, Manila. The Museum of Fine Arts is home to 29 galleries and hallway exhibitions under the auspices of the National Museum of the Philippines.

The participants of the GLAM photowalk were Imelda Brazal, Anthony Diaz, Johnny Alegre, Jocelyn Alegre, Ralff Nestor Nacor, Charrie Anne Nacor, and John Paul Antes. The attendees visited the art galleries which house curated collections of paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, prints, installations and other fine arts by Filipino National Artists and masters. The event is a part of the Manila 24: The 24th Manila Meet-up.

Ayala Museum

Members of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) conducted a photowalk at the Ayala Museum in Makati City, Metro Manila. The museum is privately run by the Ayala Foundation which houses archaeological, ethnographic, historical, fine arts, numismatics, and ecclesiastical exhibits.

The participants of the GLAM photowalk were Johnny Alegre, Jocelyn Alegre, Ralff Nestor Nacor, Charrie Anne Nacor, and John Paul Antes. They visited the exhibits of (1) Diorama Experience of Philippine History and (2) Crossroads of Civilizations which includes the Gold, Textile, and Ceramics Galleries. The PPC Board also met and share stories with Senior Museum Curator (Head of Conservation) Kenneth Esguerra who presented "Unraveling the AIA Philippines Art Collection" at the museum as part of his Curator's Tour. The event is a part of the Manila 23: The 23rd Manila Meet-up.

Museo San Agustin

Members of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) conducted a photowalk at the Museo San Agustin in Intramuros, Manila. The museum is located in San Agustin Church which is a one of four Philippine churches constructed during the Spanish colonial period to be designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, under the collective title Baroque Churches of the Philippines.

The participants of the GLAM photowalk were Johnny Alegre, Jocelyn Alegre, Ralff Nestor Nacor, Charrie Anne Nacor, and John Paul Antes. They visited the collection of religious artifacts showcasing the historical roots of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines. The event is a part of the Manila 21: The 21st Manila Meet-up which also includes the Movement Charter Conversation in the Philippines.

Philippine National Museum of Natural History

Members of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC) conducted a photowalk at the Philippine National Museum of Natural History in Ermita, Manila. The museum is the national natural history museum of the Philippines.

The participants of the GLAM photowalk were Johnny Alegre, Jocelyn Alegre, Alex Umali, Ralff Nestor Nacor, Charrie Anne Nacor, and John Paul Antes. They visited the twelve (12) permanent galleries that features the rich biological and geological diversity of the Philippines. The event is a part of the Manila 20: The 20th Manila Meet-up which also includes the Movement Charter Conversation in the Philippines.

Instituto Cervantes de Manila

At the Instituto Cervantes, PPC Head Johnny Alegre (Buszmail) met Gemma Cruz-Araneta, Chairperson Emeritus of the Philippine Historical Conservation Society and former National Museum director.

He also met author Christina Hyo-Jung Lee, Princeton University Professor and Director of Graduate Studies (Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese). Dr. Lee delivered a lecture on the occupation and pillage of the Spanish colonial capital of Manila by the British fleet for 20 months between 1762 and 1764; and a host of topics on digitization of priceless centuries-old books about the Philippines.

Filipinas Heritage Library

Johnny Alegre (Buszmail), head of the Pilipinas Panorama Community, signed one of his earliest compositions from his student days in the University of the Philippines College of Music. This is part of his donation of personal archives to the Filipinas Heritage Library of the Ayala Foundation. He was accompanied by John Labella, Filipinas Heritage Library head.

Philippine Panorama Project

The Philippine Panorama Project is an initiative of the Pilipinas Panorama Community aiming to collect media files of cultural heritage in every Philippine town for Wikimedia Commons, also includes GLAM as part of its initiatives.


Philippine Panorama Project/GLAM is a PPC subproject that focuses on Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums through the navigable expanse of the Philippines. Photowalks relating to GLAM are organized by the PPC community.
