Proposed Participation
[edit]I am an experienced editor on Wikipedia with a comprehensive knowledge of content creation, review processes, and Wiki markup. I have volunteered as an Online and Campus Ambassador for several semesters, during which I have developed an understanding of how to explore and explain Wikipedia for newcomers and outsiders. I have attended two other workshops hosted by Pete Forsyth — Screen Sprint in 2010 and GLAMcamp DC in 2012 — and he has invited me to attend the Legislative Data Workshop. Outside the Wikiverse, I have worked as a user experience consultant, a video tutorial host, and a copyeditor.
Goal and Expected Impact
[edit]If I attend this workshop, I will make it my personal responsibility to ensure that any new features or procedures that are developed will be meticulously documented, stress tested, and explained in a manner that contributors of any experience level can understand.
Endorsements
[edit]I heartily endorse Cryptic C62's participation. (I should note that I am working with the convener of this meeting, so I'm not without bias.) Cryptic C62 has the background needed for the event: a broad and deep understanding of Wikipedia. -Pete F (talk) 23:04, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
