The event was spearheaded by Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific Inc., a registered non-profit organization led by its founder, Vanj Padilla—a juris doctor, digital strategist, and public policy advocate—and its President and lead trainer, Jasverenne Ferrer.
It was attended by bloggers, vloggers, and media personalities. The initiative aims to establish a community of Cebuano Wikimedians who will collaborate in sharing original articles, images, and videos showcasing Cebuano language, history, and culture. With over 6,000,000 articles, Cebuano Wikipedia is among the largest in the world, despite having a limited number of active local editors. The project seeks to expand Cebuano participation in preserving and sharing knowledge for future generations. |
