English: :This clip is from the opening of the Director's Cut of the movie Donnie Darko, which is set at Angeles Crest Highway in California. The sound is most definitely added later, and besides the birds on the background, I'm very interested in the woo-oop call that can be heard 3 times in this clip.

I have searched a lot of bird sounds to find it, and I'm starting to question if it's even a real bird. This site seems to be a place with a lot of expert opinions, so even if someone can share his/her thoughts if this is even a real bird it would mean a lot to me.

To my ears it sounds like a jungle background with the woo-oop sound added on top. Since I'm a first time user of the site I don't exactly know what to put in all the boxes, so I hope you'll forgive me for that. If my request is deemed inappropriate, feel free to delete/ignore this message.
