Summary

Description
English: :Although it was night (9 pm), I'm sure this was a bird, because it was coming from the very top of a Araucaria pine in my back yard, about 25 meters above ground, and I saw the silhouette of a fairly large, owl sized bird fly away when the singing stopped (there was some ambient light due to street lamps). At the time I guessed it might be an owl (Great Horned Owl is the only other bird that I have seen visit this song perch at night), and the overall song pattern, of calling every 12-20 seconds, over about 10 or 15 minutes, is consistent with owl behavior. Actually, it might be calling a bit more frequently than a normal Great Horned Owl, pretty much every 12 seconds. Note on this recording, the first song/call is at 0:10 sec (actually, it calls at 12, 25, 37, 57, 70, and 82 secs).
