The longhouse of Sungai Utik is relatively old and quite big with large porches inside and outside. The inhabitants of Sungai Utik belong to the Iban tribe. An important fact about Sungai Utik is that the inhabitants preserve their forest and they do not have any ambitions to change this. They live with and in their environment without destroying it. In 2008 they received the Sustainable Forest Management Certification for Kampung Sungai Utik community. |
