Summary

Description
English: :The female perched on a tree with shed leaves, perfectly visible. Observed for 19 minutes. She reacted at 0:04 to a swarm of crows (Corvus cornix) that flew over. The crows were not mobbing the goshawk. Alarm call (interspecific), followed by begging call.
(edited on 13.12.2017) The male was hidden in a pine (Pinus strobus). The male flew away from cover, carrying prey (something dark, the size of a pigeon), from the direction where the sound at 1:25 was coming from. I'm not sure what bird made the call at 1:25. Frank Holzapfel thinks this is a green woodpecker.
After that, the female made a low pass above me, coming from behind.
Definitely not a jay (visual confirmation), compare to [XC395872], recorded at the exact same location 4 days later.
Urban setting, cemetery, at sunset, traffic noise. Recorded from ca. 60 m., with a directional microphone, 300Hz low cut filter.
(amended on 13.12.2017) I visited the area again on 13.12.2017, at sunset. After making sure no bird was on the pine, I examined the pine and found that a large branch is broken, perhaps making it a good place for an ambush. There are droppings directly beneath the branch. After that, the female reacted to my presence with an alarm call, at a distance of ca. 70m. I backed away, no recording.
