I, TheStrayDog, hereby establish the Association of Wikipedians Who Dislike Clash of Civilizations in Wikipedia (AWWDCCW) on the International Day of Peace in September 21, 2016.

This association is for those who believe that Wikipedia should be a place for "Dialogue Among Peoples" not a place to promote a race, religion, language, country, belief and/or an ethnicity. Also the Association may reject ungraceful ideologies and acts in our encyclopedia which may cause any kind of cultural, ideological and/or religious clashes having been classified under the category of Clash of Civilizations theory or another related. As we know, late Prof. Dr. Samuel P. Huntington has discovered that the main cause of wars and clashes among cultures (after the Cold War) would be "Religion" and/or "Ethnicity" differences. We believe that Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that should never let it be using as a propaganda machine. That's why we are here have made this association because Wikipedia is a Society which is not considered a place to clash, but a place to communicate, increase and gain knowledge and wisdom.

The human kinds are limbs of each other Having been created of one essence. When the calamity of time afflicts one limb The other limbs cannot remain at rest. If you have no sympathy for the troubles of others You are not worthy to be called by the name of "man". (Gulistan (1258), Chapter 1, Story 10[1])

At the first steps of idea, the motto of the AWWDCCW was good thoughts, good words, and good deeds which is the main motto of Zoroastrianism, but I changed it just because it may appear to be promoting a certain religion or ideology rather than others. I changed it to Dislike Clash of Civilizations in Wikipedia (DCCW) which is a part of the title. Also I mentioned this case just to assure you how much these principles are valuable for the association.

The Membership is not limited, so you can reach the list of members here and feel free to add yourself as you wish. Also you can send your new ideas for improving this right there on newIdeas

So you may ask what is exactly a "Clash" in Wikipedia? Although this is an experimental thing, I can say it would be likely in a situation when a bunch of Wikipedians are seeking in a certain way to attack a particular kind of religion, ethnicity, belief, race, political party, event etc through wikipedia. (e.g; an extremist Democrat who is here to vandalize George W. Bush's article or a user who is here to hide facts about Armenian Genocide.)

Our logo reveals the principles of the association. The Wikipedia logo with peace symbol as background represents the peace and respect among Wikipedians. The primary colours (colours of Wikimedia) in peace logo represents the unity of different civilizations with peace. The doves that carry this peace are the symbols of Wikipedians who work for the unity of civilizations and dislike their clash. The yellow background is the symbol of global peace.
